All lesson fees are to be pre-paid monthly by and due at the first lesson of each month . A 40 $ late fee will be applied in case of payment fail after three days. All payments made with CC pre authorization.
A 30 day cancellation notice should be given before the 1st of the month if you would like to discontinue recurrent payment.
TUITION WILL BE NON-REFUNDABLE.
You will receive an invoice on the 1st of every month. When you receive an invoice, it means that the studio calendar has been updated for the following month with reserved time slots based upon your previous requests. Once your invoice arrives the lesson times are now “Scheduled Lessons”, and are therefore solidified in the schedule. In other words, the invoice is a confirmation that all the dates/times in the calendar for that month do in fact work for your family. Each change made to the schedule after that is considered a “make-up” lesson.
All make up lessons are conducted ONLINE. ( Skype , oom, FaceTime). If you must miss a Scheduled Lesson, please provide 24 hours notice, or you will not be allowed to make up your lesson. If you cancel a lesson, it is your responsibility to get in contact with us about scheduling a make-up lesson. Please check the calendar carefully before the beginning of each month and be sure to keep us informed ahead of time of any vacations or conflicts. If you miss your scheduled lesson without contacting us that lesson cannot be made up under any circumstance.
Make-up lessons must be scheduled to take place during the month in which the original lesson was scheduled. For example, if you have already paid for March lessons, and you later cancel one in mid-March, you have until the end of March (or until the date that you have paid for) to make that lesson up. Missed lessons will never be credited to the next month. The only exceptions to this rule are (1) in the case of extreme health or family emergency, (2) if the missed lesson is within SEVEN days of the end of the month, the lesson can be made up by the 7th of the next month, (3) if the lesson is cancelled by us (the teachers). If we are responsible for canceling your lesson, we will contact you to schedule a make-up lesson to take place as soon as possible, or we will credit that lesson to the next month. Make-up lessons may not replace any scheduled lessons, invoiced or not.
If a student is sick and/or contagious, or the teacher is unable to travel to their lesson due to extreme weather, a make-up credit will be given, which will be valid for one month after the lesson. Students who miss lessons due to illness will be given scheduling priority.
Should the public schools systems (NYCDOE) cancel classes, all studio lessons will be moved to internet sessions (Skype or Facetime).
Students are required to purchase instructional materials to use at home. Regardless of the student’s age or experience, the Student Home Materials dramatically increase his or her results and playing satisfaction. Materials are available to purchase in digital-only format or hard-copy materials. Your teacher will discuss these options and the associated cost.
Students MUST have their desire instrument at home.
From time to time we use photos and short videos of our students Christmas and Spring recitals. If you do not want your child's image(s) to be used, please let us know. In general, the students love to see their pictures and videos on our website . They find it motivating and exciting to think that others want to know what they are learning.
